Classes & Opportunities
Blended Learning Lifeguard Class CANCELLED due to lack of students
Precourse: Must be completed Monday - Friday between May 18 -29, 7:30am-4:00pm at either pool.
Online Course: Must complete prior to in-person class June 6.
In Person Class: June 6-7, 8:00am-5:00pm @ Tualatin Swim Center.
You must be able to pass the precourse, finish the online course and attend all in person sessions to pass this course.
*To pass precourse, applicants must be 15 years of age, complete a 150 yard swim, 2 minutes of treading water, 50 more yards swimming and then retrieve a 10lb. diving brick in deep water and bring back to the shallow end.
Class Fee: In-District $100, Out-Of-District $120
Check made out to TTAD is due after completion of the precourse. No credit cards please.

Blended Learning Water Safety Instructor Class
Precourse: Must be completed July 10, 4- 5pm
Online Course: Must complete prior to in-person class June 6.
In Person Class: Friday-Sunday June 12-14, 2026 10:00am-6:30pm at the Tualatin Swim Center
You must be able to pass the precourse, finish the online course and attend all in person sessions to pass this course.
*To pass the precourse, students must:
1. Swim the following strokes consistent with the Stroke Performance Charts, Level 4:
-Front Crawl – 25 yards,
-Back Crawl – 25 yards,
-Breaststroke – 25 yards,
-Elementary Backstroke – 25 yards,
-Sidestroke – 25 yards,
-Butterfly – 15 yards
2. Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling)
3. Tread water for 1 minute
4. Be at least 16 by the last day of the Water Safety Instructor course.
Class Fee: $275
